Roll Forming

Roll forming technique is a combination of art and engineering. It needs engineering concepts clubbed with artistic vision. It is an engineering way of forming metal sections by gradual forming of different profile requirements on sheet metals by the use of profiled rolls in cold condition. It has the advantage of multiple profiles forming on single plane metals and easy way of producing quality sections in quantity.

Roll Forming is ideal for producing parts with long lengths or in large quantities. It can also produce multiple length parts from the same set of tooling. Virtually any material that can be formed by roll forming techniques can be roll formed. The process typically runs at speeds from 1 meter to 8 meter/min., depending upon the desired configuration, tolerances required, additional ancillary or in-line operations, and raw material being formed. For example, a soft aluminum can be roll formed much more rapidly than the same shape in SS or titanium or monel.
